Social Bias Examples
A common example of social bias is sexism. A major example of this in society is the income gap, that being, the average woman makes less than the average man for the same amount of labor. This is because a man's labor is often more valued than a woman's. This is bias whether it is subconscious or intentional. Below is a document showing the income gap from different areas of the country.
Another common example of social bias is racism. When viewed in terms of jobs, Caucasians have lower unemployment rate when compared to African Americans. It is often assumed that Caucasians either have a higher degree of education or their work is more valued. On the second page of the PDF file link, you will find a comparison of unemployment rates

A common social bias is when a person assumes that because an individual is elderly that they are deaf, forgetful, etc. (Senile)

Three retirees were taking a walk one fine March day.
One remarked to the other, "Windy, ain't it?"
"No," the second man replied, "It's Thursday."
And the third man chimed in, "So am I. Let's have a coke."
The author of this joke has a bias against the elderly because he characterizes the three people as being deaf and proceeds to poke fun at them.
