According to dictionary.com, non-credible is defined as unworthy of belief or confidence; untrustworthy.

See if the article has publishing information. Ask yourself: 'Is this a trusted source of information?'

Check if the study or article contradicts other articles and studies.

See if the author's name is present on the page. Anonymous work means the author is unwillling to take credit.

Check the study or article for proper grammar, correct spelling, and correct punctuation.

Steps for checking reliability:

Determine if the author is credible on the topic. For example, you would not trust a tree expert to fix your television.

Since anyone can go on and edit the site, Wikipedia is not a reliable source.
