False information that is spread unintentionally.

The DHMO website is full of misinformation because all of the facts posted are true. However, by leaving out the name the reader assumes dihydrogen monoxide is a dangerous chemical. This is misinformation because the site does not deliberately lie to you, but merely neglects to tell you the common name of dihydrogen monoxide.

Calcium is absorbed primarily by an active vitamin D-dependent transcellular process

The facts:

Even though the company advertises their product to be a great source of calcium, little to none of the calcium in used. Even though this product is full of calcium,  it requires vitamin D to be absorbed which the supplement does not provide. The advertisement contains misinformation because the calcium they are providing to your body is not absorbed and used as they advertise it to be.
